I almost gave up on you.

Yes, you… faithful blog reader.

All this interest in posting stories that you can’t post on your on blog and then…

And one was mine.

I almost scrapped the idea… and then I had a few people ask about it.

So, let’s do this again… Mmk?

And I want your stories!

They don’t have to be HILARIOUS

or AMAZING

or CRAZY.

They just have to be {un}bloggable.

I’m giving you a place to get it out.

Put it on “paper.”

And know that you’re not alone when you can’t blog about everything that happens to you.

To start?

I’m telling you my moment.

Yes, here.

Not in the comments.

Not anonymously.

The other day I was putting sunscreen on Jack.

I was wearing a bathing suit and a cover up.

I was bending down (because he’s short).

And I see his eyes traveling.

So I pulled my cover up as high as it would go and pretended nothing happened.

And do you know what he said?

Of course you don’t.

We never know what he’ll say.

He said,

Mom, I already know what they look like.

Because sometimes I take that submarine thing. You know, the periscope?

And I spy on you!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ahem.

So, here are the directions (if you need them):

1. You may or may not want to leave your name. If you do, just comment and us your story. I say story loosely. I have a feeling that some of you didn’t comment last time because you didn’t think your stories were worthy.

2. If you choose to comment anonymously, follow this:

Name: {make up a name. use mine. or your mother’s. or my mother’s!}

E-mail: leave your e-mail if you want me to reply to your comment.

don’t leave your e-mail if you don’t want me to reply to your comment.

Blog address: If you leave an address, people will click onto your blog, which will make you {un}anonymous.

3. If this stresses you out, e-mail me your comment. I’ll post it for you.

4. If you have ANY questions, e-mail me.

Oh, and I was kidding about giving up on you :)

GO!

Apr 042010

When I first mentioned the unbloggable moment on Twitter, I got quite a response.

When I mentioned it to a few readers through e-mail, they seemed excited.

But the 7 comments I got last month tell me that maybe you were just being nice.

So, tell me…

Should I do it one more time and see  if it picks up?

Yay or Nay?

Is everyone ready?

I am!

I’m so excited to hear about all of your hysterical {un}bloggable moments, and I am excited to share mine, as well!

I’m completely tempted to just spill mine right now, but that would be bad. Really bad.

So I won’t.

But mine will be in the comments!

Here’s how you do it:

Leave me an anonymous comment (a McLinky wouldn’t work so well for anonymity, kwim?) telling us about your {un}bloggable moment. If you’re a new commenter here, please be patient. I’ll approve new comments as soon as humanly possible, I promise!

If you feel comfortable leaving a valid e-mail address (because the comment section requires you to supply an email address), that would be great. I love responding to comments, and I won’t tell anyone your secrets :)

If you prefer to leave a different e-mail, that’s fine, too.

Tell all of your friends :)

Grab my button (code is in the sidebar)

Come back later and check out the comments.

Ready?

Set?

Go!

Bloggable Moment:

Your son stops to pee on the side of the road on the 1/4 mile walk home from the bus stop.

{Un}bloggable Moment:

Your son happily (and honestly) tells your sister-in-law that Mommy always rolls her eyes when she talks about her. (Because it’s better off just sweeping that moment far under the carpet and never talking about it again)

Bloggable Moment:

While your boys are using Daddy’s putting machine, it starts smoking. The subsequent e-mails sent between Mommy at home and Daddy at work are definitely bloggable.

{Un}bloggable Moment:

Your Aunt gives you this as a Christmas gift.

You’re dying to blog about it, but she reads your blog.

—–

I have an {un}bloggable moment at least once a week.

Some worse than others.

And I’m dying to hear about yours.

So, here’s your o-fficial invitation:

Who: You!

What: Share your {un}bloggable moments

When: The 2nd Saturday of every month… Starting March 13th!

Where: Right here…

Why: Because we all need to share our crazy {un}bloggable stories and laugh at everyone else’s!

How: I’ll put up a post, and you’ll comment on it (anonymously, of course). I would love it if you leave your e-mail address so that I can respond to your comment. If you don’t want to, that’s fine, too.

I can’t wait to hear all of your stories!

*I should mention that I love ALL of my sisters-in-law, and that none of my Aunts would ever give me a toilet clock.*

*Ooohh, and I’ll be adding my {un}bloggable secrets in my comment section, as well!*
