Come find me at Aspiring Mama’s place today for Story Time Saturdays (yes, a little bit late…).

Every Saturday, she features a blogger reading to their little one, and Jack and I chose to read Big Sharks.

(Pauline’s always looking for new people to feature… record yourself, upload it to YouTube, and send her the link!)

Michael is currently too cool for the camera, so he played videographer.

At about 3:10 into the video, Jack has an America’s Funniest Home Video moment… Steve thinks I should send it in…

What do you think?

(P.S. I am multi-tasking and counting this as 40 of 52 of Where’s Mom?)

I’m early this week…

did you notice?

I’m posting early because tomorrow is going to be a busy, busy day.

It’s a certain someone’s birthday.

He’ll be 6.

And he wants nothing more than a craft desk.

That’s right.

Not legos,

not a Buzz Lightyear toy.

He wants a desk for his creations and treasures.

Michael, Daddy, and I have been working on it for the past week.

We found the perfect desk,

Daddy assembled it,

then Michael and I painted it.

Here’s Michael and I sweating in the hot, humid garage last night, putting the finishing touches on Jack’s desk:

Tonight, Michael asked Jack to sleep in his room so that Daddy and I can rearrange Jack’s room and set up his new desk. We’re all so excited for him :)

Pictures will come soon!

Some of you know that this school year, I switched schools so I could be closer to my boys. One of the many perks is that Michael comes to have lunch with me on the days that I work.

Sometimes we play games.

Sometimes we talk.

Sometimes we play on the computer.

Like today:

Michael has some big chipmunk cheeks in this one.

Michael ducked!

Yin and Yang!

Michael looks very bored on the rollercoaster…

My room is always freezing… see how blue we are on the thermal imaging camera?

Fun, fun, fun :)

This week, you could find Mom at the Grand Canyon…

(more pictures coming soon!)

Mom spent last weekend in Bisbee with some friends at the I Heart Faces photowalk.

Here I am with Michelle and Melanie.

And here I am with Jamie.

We had a wonderful time – you can read all about it here.

Last weekend, Mom had the opportunity to spend the day with some amazing ladies.

Kellie, Rhonda, Kristin, Caitlyn & I, and Tracie

The best ladies.

My best ladies.

Laughing, gossiping talking, sitting by the pool, and eating veggie straws (don’t you see the huge bag? They’re that good!)

What was the last thing you did with your girlfriends?

This week Mom has been busy helping Michael with his end of the year project.

He had to make a board game for a book report.

Any guesses on his book?

Diary of A Wimpy Kid… along with 10 other kids in his class!

I guess it’s pretty popular.

I thought that I’d throw a couple more pictures in here, just for fun.

Here in our neck of the woods, it’s the last day of school.

Six long weeks off starting tomorrow!

Here’s the first day of school:

And… 10 haircuts, 3 pairs of sneakers, 2 lunchboxes, and one backback later…

I have a 5th grader and a kindergartner!

Hold me…

It was brought to my attention that I neglected to post a picture this week.

Oops.

You know when you’re trying to get a picture where everyone looks good?

And when there are 6 women in the picture?

Yeah, it doesn’t work so well.

So, I went back and forth, not knowing which one to put in.

Kristin, Rhonda, Me, Pauline, Eileen, and Pauline

Do I post only the one where you can see everyone except for Eileen, who is hidden behind Pauline?

No.

What about the one where Rhonda decided to yell something obscene and get us all giggling, and the waiter thought it would be funny to take the picture early?

Just post that one?

No.

What about the one where we are all laughing so hard that we can’t even try to smile for a picture?

Just post that one?

I figure that at least with all three of them up here, everyone has a good picture somewhere.

And just for fun, I think I have to post this one.

If you were there, you know the one I’m talking about.

The one where Eileen threw a gang sign.

What gang sign?

No one knows.

But she sure did it.

And it. was. hilarious.

This one has had me laughing for days.

*If you don’t know Eileen, you should know that she is not affiliated with gangs in any way, shape, or form. She’s a Mom. And a teacher. And fairly low-key, if you ask me.*

What a weekend!

Friday night, I met up with some awesome bloggers for dinner at the Yardhouse in Phoenix.

Saturday, I spent the day with 100 amazing ladies (and a couple of men) learning about SEO, plugins, branding, and vlogging.

Saturday night I was lucky enough to hang out poolside with some amazing bloggers…

…and watch this bartender make me an amazing margarita using a plastic cups as a shaker (he was waiting on the “real” shaker):

(After I complimented him on his technique, his partner told me to get behind the bar for a picture)

It was quite a sight… he took great pride in that drink!

On Sunday I finally got to my first Bath Junkie:

Where I promptly made 3 husbands very angry by introducing their wives to the store.

(Sorry, guys)

It was a great weekend filled with girl talk, late nights, and lots of smiles :)

Mom is late to the party this week…  But I have 4 cute pictures to make up for it!

We went to the county fair. And outside of the “ick factor” of it, we had a blast!

I hate passing by those cute old-fashioned photo booths without going in, so this time I didn’t:

Grainy pictures? Check.

Under and overexposed pictures? Check.

Cheesy smiles? Check.

Silly faces? Check.

Pictures with the love of my life? Check.
