Spontuneous Game Review: We Love It!

March 12, 2013

Last week, we received a fun game in the mail… Spontuneous!

Spontuneous Game Review

It’s a game about song lyrics, but don’t worry…

Spontuneous Game Review

There’s not a talented singer in our family! We had a blast guessing song lyrics and even making a few up as we went along!

How do you play? It’s really this simple: One player (Tunesmith) says a word and the others race against each other and the clock to try and blurt out a 5-word portion of lyrics from any song containing the given Trigger-Word! The player who begins singing first gets to roll the dice and advance around the board! If nobody can sing a song, the Tunesmith must be able to back it up with a song of their own, or else they roll both dice and move backwards. As players advance around the board, certain spaces will require them to draw a Spontuneous Card and attempt the crazy challenge! Whoever reaches finish first and completes the final challenge, wins the game!

Your turn… FARMER. Sing 5 words from a song that has the word FARMER in it! This was a little tough for Jack… he made up some lyrics and swore that the song B-I-N-G-O had the word FARMER in it! He settled on Old MacDonald!

Spontuneous was featured on the Today Show last week as part of a segment about Game Nights for Adults – though my kids had a blast while playing it, too!
