Can I Borrow A Pen?

September 10, 2011

I’m out, as evidenced by my pen cup – void of pens.

Luckily, I could make a pen with all of the pen pieces I have found around the house in the last few days.

This was in Jack’s room, on his storage cabinet.

This one was on the floor under Jack’s desk. I believe it may be the case of the ink barrel above. This was my favorite pen.

This ink barrel was on the side of Jack’s bed. I can’t really complain, since it’s still cleaner than the last time I cleaned there.

Oh, and we can’t forget about the spring. Without it, a pen is definitely useless. Good thing we have a few of those lying around.

Where’s Michael in all of this? Oh, he’s guilty, as well. I found this creation on his desk.

And this one on the side of his bed. Do you know what they are?

There are no innocent boys in my house.

They are pen launchers.

I may have brought this on myself, though. I bought them this book at Costco a few months ago and assumed that it was stuffed in a bookshelf somewhere.

Apparently, they have been on a mission to stockpile their mini weapons recently, which has led to the depletion of my pen stash.

And rubber band stash.

And tape stash.

Wish me luck this weekend. And send me some pens, please.

Oh that’s hilarious! Please don’t tell my boys that book exists. They already have a strong love for rubber bands, duct tape and clothespins…

Oh, girl, I knew it was some kind of weapon after the first photograph. Do not worry, though. Our pediatrician was right. Neither my 28 year old son nor your crazy boys will turn out to be serial killers…. and if they do, I, at least, will know it wasn’t your fault :)

LOL! We have hundreds around our house. Seems like we’ll never go through our pen supply. Would you like me to send you some? :-D

Awesome! And SO not bringing that one to the Casa de Dummies. But, I do think you should enter this into a Dude Mom Life feature because um, yeah. Awesome. And so very Dude.

Got a chuckle out of this one….I just bought a box of pens and fine tip sharpies today since I can’t find any pens at our house, either!

Wow, At least they are creative.

My kids find all sorts of things to be weapons. Including tampons. NICE!

You’re a way cooler mom then me! Aren’t boys awesome tho? At least they’re paying attention and following directions. That’s all that matters, right? RIGHT?
