I recently teamed up with Office Max’s A Day Made Better campaign to help end teacher funded classrooms.
We all know what teacher funded classrooms are, right?
I’ll explain just in case ;)
It happens when teachers don’t receive enough supply money from their district to cover all of the materials that they need to buy for their 25-40 students.
On their very small salary, teachers go out on their own and purchase supplies (an average of $1200) every year.
They fund their own classrooms.

Office Max and Adopt-A-classroom joined forces and started A Day Made Better.
On Tuesday, October 5th, 1,000 teachers nationwide will be surprised by Office Max employees and given $1,000 worth of supplies and classroom gifts. These teachers have been nominated by their Principals for their passion, innovative teaching, and dedication.
I’ll be heading to a local elementary school with Office Max employees on Tuesday to surprise a teacher, and I am so excited!
Office Max was kind enough to give each of their Max Moms a $100 gift certificate to either giveaway on their blog or donate to a teacher who shows passion, innovative teaching, and dedication. I chose to give the gift card to an amazing teacher that works in Michael’s school, but many of the other Max Moms are giving them away on their blogs!
