My friend Pauline tagged me in a meme.
It’s a fun one. It made me think a lot.
Are you ready?
Here are ten things that make me happy:
1. Watching my kids laugh
2. Hugs from Steve
3. Clean sheets
4. Pajamas at 5 p.m.
5. A fresh cup of sweet tea – perfect amount of ice, perfect amount of tea.
6. Talking to my Mom
7. Making birthday cakes
8. Date night
9. Laughing
10. Watching the boys sleep
And here is where I’m supposed to tag 10 people… How about you tag yourself, though, because I don’t want to pressure anyone.
If you are reading this, I would love to read what makes you happy!

well, reading your posts (finally) is one….and after that we are a lot alike! Hubby hugs, boys laughing, good coffee, campfires, beach days, line dried sheets and blankets, fresh flower vase of flowers I grew, getting lost in a good book and chatting with a good friend….gol, I should start every day thinking of these things. It’s making my morning seem brighter all ready! :) (and I didn’t forget you tagged me before…)
I love it Becca. I’ll do one too!
I love it also Becca! I will post one as well. :)

1) The fact that you like talking to me 2) The smell of a freshly mowed lawn 3) The fact that I have two of the most amazing Grandsons in the whole wide world 4) That I can tell my daughter every single thing about me (well, almost, because you would surely puke if I told you everything) 5) Getting on a plane and knowing my final destination is Tucson AZ. 6) Hearing, when my son comes home from performing, how awesome it went and how big a crowd he had that really enjoyed his music 7) When my husband is snoring and I can tell him to get his butt down stairs (and close the door so I don’t have to hear him anymore) and he goes 8) My Sisters 9) The aches and pains I get after going to the gym or walking 10) Finding a friend after 52 years that I can tell anything to, laugh with, cry with, know that she won’t judge me and when she can get a word in edgewise, tells me about her two most favorite people in the world.
But – ok – here is the real one: 1)Smell of worms (because that means spring is here) and YES you can SMELL worms 2) Michael and Jack laughing so hard they pass gas 3) Then they laugh again 4) Smell of a clean house 5) Living in the house I grew up in 6) My Sisters 7) Paychecks 8) Remote car starter 8) My puppies 9) oops the second 8 is really 9 so my 9 is really 10 so I am done
Oh yeah, and one more – knowing my daughter so well she is sitting in front of her computer saying to herself “MOM, YOU’RE KILLING ME” hahahaha
I couldn’t post this the other day, but I love the idea, so here goes.
1. reconnecting with the hubby after one of those “ships passing in the night” kind of weeks. you know, mid-May kind of weeks.
2. laughing with him and with the kids
3. singing along to the radio in my car at the top of my lungs
4. fresh, hot, good coffee
5. TV shows on DVDs–no COMMERCIALS. Especially Monk.
6. cold beer with my pizza. Corona Light, preferably.
7. Dove Milk Chocolate
8. friends.
9. not having to turn an alarm clock on at bedtime
10. great deals on Vera Bradley :)
Things that make me happy:
* waking up next to my sweet, smiley 1-year-old
* hearing my 3-year-old say, “I love you, sweet mommy”
* reading a really good book
* having a deep conversation with a close friend
* traveling to new places and trying new things
* driving with Tim…anywhere…and talking as we drive
:)
