The walk
Jack and I went on a nature walk today.
We grabbed our cameras,
and our snacks (tightened up in the strap of his hat),
and our cheesy smiles (well, he brought his, as you can see).
We stopped on the way out to take a picture of our herb garden (which is doing very well, thank you):
and some fun close ups of our new flowers:
and we were on our way.
Thankfully, our walk was only 1/2 mile long, because a certain someone was wiped out after the first 2 minutes.

Jack is one inquisitive child. I bet you’re glad google and Gramma Teetsie is around to help answer his questions. So is there liver in liverwurst? Ewww…I don’t think I’ve ever had it.

OK, another question…..Are there squirshed up dogs in hot dogs? How about ham in hamburgers? Do you need to have a rooster for the hen to lay eggs? And liver in liverwurst? Only if it’s Mother Goose…and why is it called Mother Goose? Because she layed to golden egg? Was there a rooster to help her?

Oh My gosh….I love Jack…he’s so funny! Congrats on your win. Don’t you think when you have a kid as awesome as Jack, you should win awards…. it almost makes you not as exhausted from all the million questions he comes up with! Don’t worry…God has a sense of humor…when he’s a teenager…it will be your turn to ask him all the questions….is your homework done, who are you dating, are you really planning wearing that out in public….and so on.!!! He’ll be the one exhausted!

As for Liver in liverwurst – I don’t even know what liverwurst is. At first I thought it was a place, then I had the thought that maybe it was food. That’s a testimony to my lack of geographical knowledge and food knowledge and if it’s neither then my knowledge in whatever category it belongs in.

I can send you some liverwurst if you would like. But I think by the time it got to you the pack rats would be following it and then they would know where you live and then they would eat your beautiful flowers. So someday (when he is in his teens) he can come to NY and try liverwurst. Because Gramma Teetsie and Poppa love it. EEEwwww, can you imagine sending liverwurst through the mail to AZ? Gross. Maybe I can send it out with Aunt Jen and Uncle Igor. Aunt Jen, would you mind carrying it with you in your carry-on? People on the plane would avoid sitting next to you and you will have all the room in the world to stretch out your legs. :-) So glad you are going. Jealous too.
