Is that not the most adorable pink button up there?
It’s up there because my friend Julie now hosts this carnival over at her place… you should click on it and go visit her!
This week, I have been up to my ears in new knowledge:
-I learned that if your son’s preschool teacher teaches him how to make a paper airplane, he will spend hours making thousands of them before the excitement has worn off.
It hasn’t yet.
We have a complete Air Force in our house, in my car, and in his backpack.
The coolest? By far, the one that he made out of a price tag.
-I learned that when your older son goes to his first wrestling practice, it might stress a Mama out to see him pinned like this:
But when he looks up from the mat with a huge smile on his face, she’ll feel a little better.
-I learned that when you send a 5 year-old into the bathroom to do his hair, he might possibly come out like this:
And want to stay that way all. day. long.
-I learned that reading the book that comes with a new camera pays off:
because Arizona sunsets are amazing.
-I learned that when Kindergarten round-up is around the corner, you might be a little bit sentimental about these guys:
who just yesterday looked like this:
How does that even happen?
How do they go from babies to 5th grader and Kindergartner?
Overnight?!
Just yesterday they were eating animal crackers and wearing diapers.
Today, they’re going to wrestling practice and walking around with faux-hawks!
Ugh… I need a break from learning.

Super cute!
Is it possible that Zac had that same sleeper even though he is, what, 4 years younger?

I hear ya! I’ve been trying to rewind time for years now, but have been completely unsuccessful. I’ve even told Gary he’s not allowed to have any more birthday’s. I tried to skip 8 all together, but Gary wasn’t going for it. Those darn kids just don’t listen!

Oh, and those sunsets! Beautiful! Stunning! Am thinking I might need to read my camera manuel instead of just trying stuff out!!

WOW. That’s a lot for one week. =)
I especially like the sunsets.
And the faux hawk.
And the then and now pics of the boys.
Kindergarten round up was a very emotional time for me. Actually, that whole summer was… Where does the time go? Thanks for linking up. =)

OK, you have put me through birthing two of the most beautiful boys, their black eyes, stitches, Rock Wall Climbing, Mount Lemon Climbing (which by the way when I got there and saw what it was really like I almost died) Motocross, bumps and bruises from that damn (beautiful by the way) but rock hard coffee table, (and black eyes) and snakes, and other icky Arizona bugs and swimming pool incidents (that we try to forget every day) and now…….wrestling? And faux hawks? Next week it will be piercings, tattoos, jock straps (had to add that one) and girlfriends and proms and…..OMG……where did my little girl go? The one that went out with boys that were never good enough, and went on overnight class trips (that your Mom at that time just wanted to be the cool Mom and come along and play but was really going so I could keep an eye on you, bet you didn’t know that did you?) Then graduated and went into the service and met a guy that was good enough for you and went to Japan and had a baby and then came back (not home mind you) but to Arizona and built a beautiful home with that husband and baby and had another baby and made me one of the proudest Gramma’s in the world. Where did that little girl go? You tell me and I will tell you where your two “Little” Boys went. Love You.
Love how your baby is looking up at his big brother in the then shot. They look like the best of friends. I wonder what kind of ‘do my son would come out with if sent in to comb his own hair. Oh wait, it would still be bed head…but isn’t that ‘in’ these days?

OMG Your mom said Jock Straps…hahahahahahaha That made my day.
I love the pictures, the then and nows are always tear jerkers. I constantly look at both my kids and wonder what the heck happened! They weren’t supposed to be 8 and 13! There must be a way to stop it…must be…

Great Blog Becca! It does make you wonder where time goes.
Beautiful pictures!!!
I like Michael in wrestling, he’ll have fun, make new friends and learn some self-defense.
Jack and his hair!!! At least it’s the same length!
Love you guys!
I heard someone say once that when you are a mom, the days are long but the years are short! I love that last picture of them. Beautiful boys!

Glad I wasn’t there for Michael’s wrestling. I would’ve HATED it!(But am glad HE likes it!). As for Jack’s mohawk, well, that’s Jack… I remember so vividly when Michael was 4 and Jack was a baby…Great sunset photos!
You learned some great things! And hooray for the simple pleasures like paper airplanes and spiked hair:)

As sad as that it, it makes me want a second, which probably won’t happen…got a spare? :) They are such beautiful boys Becca, and I’m glad they make you proud (at least most of the time, right?)
It’s funny how day by day it goes slow, but the years go by so fast! I’ve been through Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, Michael Jordan, Goth clothes, soccer teams, the Prom, and now – the botched eyebrow piercing. LOL – It never ends.
Wow. That’s a lot for one week. But I’m glad you shared! May I borrow one of the sunset pics for my desktop? :) Hugs!
This was by far one of your toughest weeks, wasn’t it? Those babies are growing up WAY too fast! I’m glad you’re blogging these moments and doing such a great job of capturing them with your camera!!! All I can say is “Don’t blink.”
Ah yes, they do grow up way too fast. One day you’re buying them diapers, and the next, you’re shopping for sports cups and such. That is an experience, let me tell you.
I have a question. What are you going to do in the fall with all your free time?
