In this house, Sunday is laundry day.

Well, Sunday is the day I wash and dry the laundry.

It usually takes me another day or two to fold it and put it away.

But today, my one and only helped me out.

So right now, the laundry is washed, dried, folded, and put away.

Yippee!!

Except for one thing.

I just looked in my closet.

Take a look:

Do you see what I see?

I see 12 pairs of black yoga pants (in various lengths, of course).

Oops.

Obviously, this post isn’t about my fashion sense.

I wear what’s comfortable.

And yoga pants are comfortable.

Last fall, I gave Steve a hard time after I counted his shorts.

He has 28 pair.

Me: ”You could wear a different pair of shorts every day for almost a month and never double up!”

Steve: “No, I couldn’t. Some are dressy, some are for yard work, some are for golfing…”

I bet if I tried hard I could come up with a reason to keep all 12 of my black yoga pants.

Me: “Some are older and faded, some are nice, some are strictly for running or going to the gym.”

And I can hear it now…

Steve: “But still, you have 12 pair of black yoga pants!”

Oh.

I just noticed something.

Crap.

I too have that problem – we need them – we need them below the knee – just above the knee – to the calf – floor length – What I want to know is – how many pair are you going to bring to Hawaii with you? One long and one capri would be fine you know, but I know you – you will have every pair in your suitcase. I just know it and then tops to match and of course the shoes and flip flops and dress and sneakers and sandals and on and on and on and on……

Black pants in general are the best, next to jeans. I feel like my closet is all grey and black if it makes you feel any better. I am nowhere near those counts though, for shorts or pants, but Soren may have that many!

HA HA HA HA!! Hilarious! :) I have 2 pairs that I bought when I was pregnant with John. At Costco. They were a set. I’ve since hemmed one pair to capri length. I’m thinking I need more yoga pants!

  8. I’m a fan of the yoga pants. And people may not think we are fashionable, but I bet everybody thinks we are “fit” (because its assumed we’ve been working-out right?). At least that’s what I tell myself!

Listen, even yoga pants need fashion diva’s! We all have our “specialty” and yoga pants happen to be yours! Not necessarily a bad thing!

  11. A girl really can’t have *too* many pairs. You never know when a shortage is going to hit the market. In that case, you’d be happy to have your stockpile…

  12. I have that very same issue, and I make no apologies for it. They’re better than the jammies I see other women wearing in public.
