I found this in the freezer today.

I decided to let it sit on the counter and defrost.

It looked like a cup full of frozen water to me.

It sat and it sat.

Then it defrosted enough that I could dump it out.

I had a feeling that it wasn’t just a cup of frozen water.

Because – you know Jack?

Yeah, he lives here.

And when Jack’s in the house, nothing is what it seems.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen.

He froze rocks inside a cup of water.

Here’s to our future Geologist.

ROCK ON JACK. Santa will def. be bringing you a rock tumbler for xmas this year or maybe Gramma Teetsie and Poppa will have to get one earlier (like Easter or Birthday) so you better get a big bucket and start saving those rocks. All shapes and sizes – White ones are pretty and so are those big shiny ones that go on the end of rings. So you keep right on digging.

OK, Becca, so I’m not much for this blogging stuff, tags and all that, but I really do think that TWO rock posts in such a short time frame probably means that rocks should get a tag. Those of us who know will get that it means “Mom rocks! :)” Let the rest of ‘em wonder!

I’m gonna have to agree with Molly on this one. Mom Rocks tag is def appropriate! :) That Jack is hilarious. He and John must never meet… I think I remember saying this once before though. Chaos would be the word that would describe the two of them together! :)

  13. I’ll admit to having a rock polisher as a child. My parents made me put it in the basement since the noisy thing had to run for days, but it did work. And for a little nerd like me, it was super cool.

  14. Aren’t you a good mom, to defrost and examine? I think a lot of moms would have just pitched it, cup and all!
