Dear Readers (all 8 of you),
I am sorry that I have neglected you. And the blog. I have been a little busy.
I have been listening to this little guy play countless songs on his new gee-tar.

And I have been trying to break these 2 apart. Constantly. Since last Friday. Michael + PSP = BFF

My parents flew in Christmas night.
My cousins were supposed to come as well, but they stood us up got food poisoning the night before they were supposed to fly out.

Then, there was The Game.
Many, many pictures were taken during The Game (which is actually called Choose or Lose) but the one you see below is the only one fit to be posted on the blog.
There were 5 people playing. Darcie and Jeff, Steve and I, and my Mom.
The Game scared my Dad away before he even sat at the table.
Wimp.

I will, however, tell you that:
1. One of us was crying like a baby and sucking on a pacifier.
2. One of us had to call another’s little brother and tell him a knock knock joke. At 9 p.m.
3. Towards the end of the night, one of us was breakdancing on the floor while another was pretending to fry like bacon while onlookers popped and sizzled at him.
Movingrightalong.
We burned roasted some marshmallows the next night and made s’mores.
Jack loves to catch his marshmallows on fire. Wonderful, since Jack doesn’t like to eat burnt marshmallows. Just perfectly toasted ones.

Michael, on the other hand, eats ALL of his marshmallows. Perfect. We can’t get him to eat dinner, but marshmallows? That’s another story.

On Monday, we decided to do the tourist-y thing and drive down to Tombstone.
Since we have lived here for almost 10 years and have never been there, we thought it was a wonderful idea.
We were told by some close friends that the best place in town to eat was Big Nose Kate’s Saloon.
It was fun. There was live music, good food, and lots of entertainment.
Ahem.
Apparently, Kate’s nose isn’t the only big thing in the saloon.

See.. the camera didn’t quite catch the ‘jiggle factor’ that I am sure you can imagine just fine in your head.
Almost every waitress in the place was dressed like this.
It was a little distracting. To everyone.
So we went outside and took a picture. :-)
Do you know that it was a chilly 47 degrees in Tombstone yesterday?

Okthen.
Today we drove up Mt. Lemmon to see some Arizona snow.
We drove for just over an hour and the temperature dropped about 28 degrees.
Yippee!!
Here in Arizona, all of our sledding pictures include some brown “foliage.” But that’s ok.
We like it here.

Here in Arizona, we only get to go sledding once a year. So, Dad needs to have a pep talk with the boys before they start.
“Lean back, don’t flip the sled, as soon as you get down the hill move out of the way, and don’t walk back up the hill – you’ll get in everyone’s way!”

Here in Arizona, we don’t need sleds to have fun. Rolling in the snow is just fine for us.

Here in Arizona, Moms might forget to make their boys wear log underwear.
Or higher socks.
But that’s ok. Because we’re tough.

Here in Arizona, we don’t need no stinkin’ jackets.

Here in Arizona, there are a lot of bumpy sledding hills.
Which could possibly lead to little boys being “ejected” from their sleds.

Do you know how cool it is to get ejected from a sled? I didn’t know until today.

Here in Arizona, snow makes us happy.

Really happy.

I’ll be back soon. Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday!

Ok I always love you pictures. All of them. But now I have to ask… what kind of crazy awesome camera do you have to catch those 3 shots of sled-ejection? Holy cow!
Looks like a fun fun time!

Great action shots! I think if we ever make it up there in the snow we won’t be taking such daredevil photos of our 2-year-old… :) Looks like a blast, and your postings are always hysterical!
Wow, what a similar Christmas we had (although all-girly, of course!), complete with Hannah Montana guitar and video game systems all around. They simultaneously annoy and delight me with their ability to draw the kids in.
I am jelous of your [visit to] snow, though! We’re expecting 2-4 inches later this week, which probably won’t happen and won’t be enough to sled in, but the kids are anxiously awaiting snowflakes!
