he would take a picture of his knee…

then he would look at his hand and think… “I could take a picture of that, too”
And he would.

Then he would think “What would I look like upside down?”
And he would take a picture of that, too.

Jack would think to himself, “If I took a picture of my finger touching the camera lens… what would it look like?”
It would look red.

Jack would want to take another picture of himself…
But this time it wouldn’t be upside down. It would be right-side up.
And he would smile this time, too. That would be funny.

“What else could I take a picture of?” he would wonder.
And then the thought would come to him. The fan, of course.

And after he took a picture of the fan,
he would find something else to take a picture of.
Something cool.
Like his scar

or the couch pillows. Because when you’re 5, these things are cool.

And when your Mom says, “Jack, you have had the camera for long enough. You can take 2 more pictures.”
You would take 3:

And your parents would laugh when they found the camera
and saw that you had so much fun with it.

You know, there are much worse things he could have taken pictures of…….
Oh little Jack…if he weren’t so darn cute it’d be much easier to be put out by him.
It’s a good thing you don’t have to buy rolls of film and have to pay to develop them, before you see these pictures. You see, waaaaay back in the olden days, that’s what we did…. although those pictures are adorable and keepers.
